Welcome to the Department of Computer Engineering. It was established in 1999 with the objective of imparting quality education in the field of Computer Engineering.

The Department has a 4 year Under Graduate program in Computer Engineering (B. Tech.) with the aim to prepare students for their complete development in technical, curricular and extra co-curricular activities, as well as to take up challenges in industries and research areas.

The Department also has a 2 year Post Graduate program (M. Tech.) for imparting advanced knowledge in Computer Engineering.

Computer Department imparts training in state of art technologies like Open Source, Python Programming, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Website Development, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things and many more.

Students are placed in reputed companies through Training and Placement Cell.

Faculty members are well qualified and highly experienced in teaching and research work.

Department has quality infrastructure with well-equipped laboratories supported by high speed Wi-Fi and Ethernet Networks.

Workshops, Seminars and Industrial Guest Lectures on advanced technology are conducted to prepare students so that they can cope up with next generation challenges and enhance them for rapid development in the IT industry.

Events and Conferences are organized to provide platform for the students to showcase their excellent talent and creative skills.

About Computer Department

The department was established in 1999 with intake capacity of 60, and eventually increased to 120 at present. The department is well equipped with laboratories having computer system of latest configuration and is connected to high end server (for internet and data). The department has tie-up with Microsoft for academic software’s. The department is aiming towards the employability of the students, so that after graduation they need not need any further training for job placement. Parallel to the curriculum of the university, the department runs additional software's/hardware courses to cope up with need of the industry. On regular basis the department organized seminar, workshop, conferences for faculty and students, so as to get updated with latest trained and scenario of industry. The student regularly visit the industry and they came to know about the practices adapted by the industry. Eminent speakers are visited for guest lectures both for faculty and students. More emphasis is given on application oriented concern. A separate departmental library, in addition to central library, having more than 500 titles and 1000 volumes serves the immediate need of the students during their practical sessions. Well qualified, experienced and self motivated faculty are the backbone of the department. The alumni of the department also extended their help by guiding their juniors in many ways.

M.E(Computer) is the new PG course introduced by the department in the academic year 2012-13 with a intake capacity of 18 students.
