The Electronics & Communication Engineering is a most dynamically changing and ever evolving branch since last more than 100 years. Electronics is the foundation on which Information Technology and Computer Engineering has grown. All high speed networks and computers work on the hardware designed by an electronic engineers.

The vision of the department is to be a unique identity at global level by the development and up-gradation of society and industry; and to nurture the professional engineers with strong technical skills who will built the Nation. We aim to satisfy the need of the industry and research organizations by producing informative and committed engineers. This is achieved by imparting in depth theoretical knowledge during the lectures followed by hands-on in state-of-the-art laboratories. The department is also offering value added courses on variety of domains which are required to improvise the professional qualities of the budding engineers. All these become true only by the qualified and experienced faculties of the department.

The students are encouraged to take up challenging projects involving embedded systems, VLSI, DSP, image processing and to publish their work in various journals. Students are bred to follow a philosophy that does not set boundaries to their ability to learn and the same has been established through their contribution to various researches.

The department puts strong emphasis on imparting practical education by carefully administering proper lab work to complement their theoretical knowledge. For years, this department has strived to project its professors as mentors who can foster growth of the students beyond the boundaries of classrooms and books. The success stories of the students and alumni stretch far beyond academic achievements. The students of this department have consistently performed par excellence at fests and events which have tested their ability to integrate their knowledge with innovation and forward thinking. About E & TC Department

The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication is one of the principle academic movers at GCOE, which facilitates students to specialize in the field of telecommunication. The main objective of the department is to impart strong background of theory and practical in Radio and Light wave communication including satellite, wireless and Optical Communication Systems, Television Data Communication etc. The course offered is well known for its applied nature including a strong laboratory equipments and computable academic work. The degree represents an excellent combination of basic engineering science, electronics and telecommunication theory and practice, communication skills and engineering management. This course is designed for students who wish to become professional engineers in the fields of electronics and telecommunications engineering. The course focuses on the communication systems, electronic control systems ,Digital systems, VLSI Design, DSP,DIP, Microcontroller systems, Radiation & Microwave Computing , Satellite Communication, Computer Communication networks. The course emphasizes the importance of communication and electronics systems and the applications of principles, developed in the course to the solution of significant practical problems. Workshop and laboratory facilities are utilized by students for the extensive project work that is one of the features of the course. PC and workstation based computing laboratories provide tools for electronic circuit simulation and computer-aided design work.

The PG program has been specially designed to meet the increasing need for professionals who would be able to respond to the convergence between hardware and software. It is meant for students who wish to build a professional career in research and development, working on the cutting edge of technology in the area of VLSI and Embedded System. This program comprises both advanced course work and research. The broad areas of research that can be pursued are communication systems, VLSI and embedded systems, and machine intelligence. The curriculum includes foundation courses, specialization courses. The students are required to pursue one full year (two semesters) of research work.
